Football Frenzy

     "Gimme 20." The words danced around in AJ's mind. AJ is a star wideout for the town team, the Greenwood Bombers. The Bombers coach was the dad of Luke the Puke. Luke took the starting quarterback job away from my best friend Josh.

      "Hey my name is Josh." I was the starting quarterback for the Bombers until Luke's dad took over. I have no idea why he is starting, but I guess if your dad is the coach you're gonna start. Tonight is our last game against the rival team Danville Warriors. This is the second year of the rivalry, last year we won 27-19. It was a tight game but I came through throwing for 200 yards. This year it's for a play-off spot.

     It was 7:00 at Bomber's Field. The lights were on and the stands were packed the best time for a football game. Luke was starting of course. The Bombers won the coin toss, and elected to receive. Josh was chanting "Lets go Bombers." The first play was a fly to AJ. The ball was overthrown. Josh said "Of Course." The next play was a draw to the Halfback Jewel Sampson. Jewel ran for about 20 yards. At the end of the 1st quarter the score was Greenwood 3, Danville 7. Luke had a terrible first quarter, throwing for 25 yards and going 5 for 15. His passer rating was a 14.58. "Horrible." said AJ.

     At halftime the score was 21-10 Danville. Josh was asked to go in so he did for one play. He threw a complete pass to Jewel for 15 yards. Luke went back in. Luke threw a first down pass to AJ. The next play was a interception intended for Jewel and returned all the way to our 15 yard line. After that, Touchdown Danville. The new score 28-10 Danville. At the end of the 3rd quarter the score was 28-17.
     The beginning of the first quarter I got a tap on my back it was the coach he said "After this drive you're in for the rest of the game." I said "Okay." That drive ended in a field goal. So the score now was 28-20 Danville. My first play in was a deep fly to AJ. He bobbled it and then CAUGHT IT! Now we were on the 5 yard line. I handed it off to Jewel and he powered his way to a touchdown. Now the 2-Point conversion. "This is a big play" said coach. It was a screen to AJ. He caught it and jumped over people to the endzone the ref put two hands in the air and the crowd went wild.

     There was 2 minutes left the score was tied. Jeff the kicker was getting warmed up on the sideline. He is the best kicker in the league. We just wanted to run the clock out. With 5 seconds left Jeff came out on the field. it would be a 30 yard field goal. The kick went up looked good and hit the goal-post and...went in!!! The crowd went crazy people started swarming the field, we were going to the playoffs.

     After the game we had a party at Pizza Hut. We talked about what were are gonna do next game in the playoffs. I was announced as starter "Yes!" I could see that Luke wasn't very happy. We got a call from the playoffs guy and he said "You'll be going up against 7-5 Town rivals Silent Champions."

     It was gameday, We practiced all week ready to win a game. They got the ball first. They just marched right down the field for a touchdown. Now it was our turn. The first play was a draw to Jewel for a gain of 5 yards. The next play I got sacked for a loss of 7 yards. 3rd and 12, The pass went to tight end Jackson Smith for a gain of 20. 1st and 10. Interception returned for a touchdown. That's when they took me out, I got teary-eyed. Luke went in and played pretty good, but the score at halftime, Champions 21-3, Luke threw a Interception right to the defender. Champions scored another touchdown, to make it 28-3. With two minutes left in the 4th quarter the score 28-17. We had the ball, Luke threw a deep ball to AJ and he caught it for the Bombers Touchdown. We made the 2-point conversion and that made it a 28-25 game. We kicked the onside kick but didn't recover. At the end of the game the score was 31-25 Champions.

     At the banquet for our football team, Coach said "We did an amazing job this year and hopes to see our pretty athletic faces next year."

Compare&Contrast

       Today I'm gonna compare and contrast sleeping in a hotel to sleeping in a tent or camper. When you go camping you don't get room service. In a hotel your probably sleeping in somebody elses bed( Cooties). I mean at least when your camping you know its your bed or sleeping bag. Sleeping in somebody elses bed is just wrong, and you don't know who that person is.

     The next thing about these two ideas. If your a outdoors person you would like camping. When you go camping there's a lot of things to do. You could go 4-Wheeling, canoeing, fishing, swimming,. There is many more things to do. When you go to a hotel there is quite a lot to do to. You can go swim if there is a pool. Also you could go to an arcade. Really I think that's about it.

       Now for the next idea. When you go camping you could be up all night with friends driving 4-Wheelers not at a hotel. At a hotel you can't because you can't fit 10-20 people in a room. When your camping you can have fun inside your camper. Although a hotel has room service and WI-FI, you still can't drive a 4-Wheeler or golf cart through a hotel.

Vehicles I Will Have.

      Some Vehicles I will eventually have are A Cadillac Escalade full sized SUV. Another one I will have is a 2 door 2015 Ford Mustang this will be my first car. It will be orange with a white stripe down the middle. My third vehicle will be a 1969 Chevy Chevelle. My next truck will be a Chevrolet Diesel pickup. With a camper. Then I will have a boat. My police car will look like this a Ford Explorer Under Cover Police.

Cause And Effect

      One day I, Cody Hunter, decided to give Jon a Yadier Molina-signed bat. Jon went absolutely crazy in happiness. Because he got a bat, he needed a ball, so I gave him a ball. All he needed now was people to play baseball with him. So I rounded up some people. Now that Jon had a bat, a ball, and people he just wanted to win now. So guess what, I called unfair calls as an ump. Because of the unfair calls, people started to leave. Because people were leaving, Jon was very sad. So I got him a Cardinals teddy bear, so that he would be happy. He was happy, so I took him inside to watch the Cardinals game. The Cardinals lost, Jon punched me and I had to go to the hospital. After I got out, Jon said,"He was very sorry". I said," It's okay". After I forgave him he got really happy. So I took him to a Saint Louis Cardinals game, and he caught a game winning home run ball hit by Yadier Molina.

Morning Routine

     When I wake up at 6:50 on school days I have a routine. I am going to tell you about that routine. First, of course, I wake up. Then, I go downstairs and watch TV.  Minutes later, I put my clothes on. After that I brush my teeth. At 7:20 I put deodorant on and brush my hair. Then I find my Texas hat and put it on.

       On My Way To School: After putting my hat on I say bye and walk out the door. Meanwhile I walk to school talk to friends in the bus line. Afterwards I get on the bus and leave at 7:40. Then at 7:55  I'm at school.

     In School: at 8:15 we do DoL and DOM. next we usually have our special. Then we have science and then math. After that we have social studies study hall and then lunch.

Persuasion

 Hello I'm going to persuade you to join Youth Football. One reason you should join football is you get to tackle people. You can't do that that everyday now can you! It also feels like your a pro because you get to wear pads and jerseys with your name on them. It's a great feeling to win a game but even if you lose, at least you still get to play unlike some kids. It's just a really, really fun sport. After this paragraph I hope I persuaded you to join football.

      If I become a police officer one day. I will purposely arrest Norman Wilson for speeding in his Rolls Royce. This is what my police car will look like

When I Get Older.....

     When I get older I'm gonna live somewhere along Lake Michigan I want to be neighbors with the famous quarterback Norman Wilson. I want to become a firefighter/EMT, And then work for a farmer on the side. I want to live in a 3 story 4 bedroom 2 bathroom house, In the timber. Also a outdoor pool. I want to have a 2019 2 door mustang boss 302. And then a 2 door 1969 Chevy Chevelle black with a white stripe down the middle. I want to have a German Shepard and a Alaskian Husky. I want to have 2 kids boy and girl. I want to have a 56 inch Plasma TV. 5 car garage.

Roberto Clemente

    Roberto Clemente was born on August 18,1934. He played softball till the age of 17. Roberto then was signed by a Costa Rican team. Then the Brooklyn Dodgers signed him in 1953. In 1954 the Pittsburgh Pirates drafted him. Pittsburgh is where he played his whole major league career. The right handed pitcher batted about .300 in all of his 13 seasons. He also led the league in hitting four times. Clemente won the MVP award in 1966. Roberto appeared in 2 World Series. He made 12 All-Star games along with 12 gold gloves. With all this information we can tell that Roberto cared a lot about his sports.

 He also had good sportsmanship. Clemente was involved in disaster relief programs. Clemente died December 31, 1972, off the coast of San Juan, Puerto Rico. He was killed in a plane crash that was en route to Nicaragua. It was hauling earthquake relief supplies. Clemente became the first player of Latin descent to be inducted to the Baseball Hall of Fame. The same year he died the Pirates retired the number twenty-one. The award previously called the commissioners award was changed to the Roberto Clemente Award. The award is given to a major league player showing outstanding baseball skills, sportsmanship, team leadership and community involvement. C.J. Moore and The Amazing Rescue

     C.J. Moore was just about ready to get on his 400 cc 4 wheeler when he heard a loud cry or whimper. It sounded like something he'd never heard before. C.J. lived on a farm with his dad, mom, and 2 brothers. He was just about going down to feed the cows when he heard the strange sound.

                                                         Part 2

     So C.J. went riding the 4-Wheeler towards the sound and once he figured out what the noise was coming from he was shocked. There was a young deer stuck way down deep in the crunchy, poky, barbed wire. C.J. scurried back to the farm to get wire cutters. He had to get their quick before the deer fell.

                                                         Final Chapter

C.J. cut the wire and wrapped the horse in rope to take it back to the farm. On the way there tragedy struck C.J. was kicked in the ribs by the deer. He was in pain,agony but he was determined to get the deer back to the farm. After about 15 minutes he finally got the deer back to the farm. He rushed in to the house to call 911. They said "they would send a first responder and a officer in the area". C.J was taken to the Regional Medical Center where they diagnosed him with a shattered ribcage. The deer was taken to a veterinarian clinic. The deer was released in to the wild 3 months later. C.J. was released 10 days later he said" I'm happy I could help the deer and hopefully he will thank us by not eating any more of our corn".

The Ugly Cabbage Boo Haha Haha

      Once Upon a time in a faraway palace lived a single grandfather and a 8 year old that was left at his door.I didn't mention that they were locked in a dungeon. The 8 year olds name was Derrick. He loved cabbage until one day when the grandpa told him the story of cabbage. The story started when the grandfather was just a little kid he was at school. When all the sudden the cabbages started to move and the fan was going and then they started to talk.(Grandfather was a easily scared kid and not very popular). So when lunch was over and he went home he threw all the cabbage away in his house. Then he went to bed that night and he had the worst nightmare ever.

 There were cabbages everywhere in his bed in his house and everywhere. One of the people at school had a cabbage for hair and another one had cabbage for a brain. When he woke up that morning he asked the grandfather  I had a nightmare last night. He said "What was it about" "That people had cabbages for heads and brains" I said. "It's true that's why were in this dungeon"
"Why do you think they call it a head of cabbage". But one day a guard opened up the dungeon and said"No more cabbage people". But from that day on Derrick never ate cabbage again.

The Amazing Rescue

     Hi my name is Jared. Me and my family lived in Florida. But since Hurricane Isaac swept our house away we need a new one. So we're moving to Alaska.   1 Year Later
We're finally moved into our new house I love it. It is a 3 story log cabin. As I was walking around I spotted a cave. The cave looked weird so I went in it. In the cave I went really deep in the cave. So when I wanted to come home I lost my way out. So I fell asleep. When I woke up there was a polar bear who looked very sad. He roared and I seemed to hear him he said "I'm Very Sad. I said me to because I have no friends. Polar Bear said my family is out on a iceberg will you help me. I said yes I'll go to the store and buy supplies. After I bought the supplies. I went to the polar bears cave and he showed me the iceberg. I shot the grappling hook and reeled in the iceberg. When they got on land they all said "Thank you young man". Then one snowy day I decided to build the Bear's a house/igloo. They thanked me and is how I learned to like Alaska.

Talking Sports With Cody

     Hello People I'm The sports guy updating you with the latest sports news. The big game this weekend is Iowa Vs Iowa 
State if u saw last week's Iowa game against Northern Illinois Iowa's QB James Vandenburg threw for just 129 yards and sacked 6 times! Iowa's RB Damon Bullock ran for 150 yards and got the game's winning touchdown. Iowa State won their first game with a little bit more ease winning 38-23. Iowa State's defensive isn't a standout defense but expects to be better. Iowa's Head Coach Kirk Ferentz says this "We Need to protect Vandenburg better" We'll Be Back next Thursday with the results. 

Three Little Piggies

     Breaking News: Big Bad Wolf back in town. Looking for three little pigs names Aaron,Jack,Piggy  Number 3 unsure about his name. Scott our news reporter is on the crime scene where the big bad wolf has blown down Aaron's house At the school made of grass. Aaron has ran to Jack's House. The Big Bad Wolf has now blown down Jacks House made of sticks in the woods. Now Jack and Aaron have ran to piggy number 3 house. The Big Bad Wolf said if you don't come out in 3 seconds I'll blow your house down 1,2,3. WHOOSH but the brick house in the park didn't blow down he tried again WHOOSH and it didn't work so he tried to run in the house and when he opened the door he fell down the hole into the basement where there was a bowl of boiling hot soup. That was the story of the three little pigs.

Great Weekend Coming

     I can't wait for this weekend. Tonight I'm going to the football game(Go Cats). Saturday I'm going to the youth football jamboree(Go Cats) I'm playing for the Cats. When i get home I'm probably going to go outside and play with friends and talk about our first game. Then I'll probably stay up late playing video games. Then I'll wake up Sunday probably take a walk and go sell meat for youth football,Also play a game of backyard football with friends. Then I'll probably go inside. I probably will have to go to bed,Then it will be time for school. 

Football Is Dangerous

     Football can be dangerous in a number of ways but it can be fun to. Here are the ways it can be dangerous You could get a concussion which could lead to brain damage. It can break bones,tear muscles. You could get hit really hard from your blind side that is why you have to rely on teammates.     

You have to stretch really good or you will pull muscles(like I did)or even worse injury than that.

Football is a very dangerous sport so if you're not willing to put in 100% hard work and make every practice and games. Football is not the sport for You. You have to get back up whenever you go down. Football takes hard work.

It Would Be Great To Be An Only Child

     It would be great to be a only child because you would get more presents. You would get more room and a bigger room because you wouldn't need 3 bedrooms. This one's for the parents it would be less money for parents because u wouldn't have to buy 3 people school supplies only 1 and only 1 person clothes. You would get to go on more vacations because parents would have more money. The last thing is you probably would get better stuff the fact that your parents would have more money so there that is why it would be great to be a only child.

Sports Team Fun

    Playing on a sports team is good for a kid because the kid playing will learn to be athletic. Kids will be with friends, While playing the sport. Kids could also make new friends. They will learn what sport they like and maybe learn what they want  to do when they are in high school or college. They will have something to do other than sitting around watching T.V. That is why kids should play sports.
